OmniPods And Cabins Complete First Largo Build
/2021 has been an exciting year for us here at OmniPods, in part because we successfully completed the first build of our brand new model - The Largo.
Earlier in the year, we decided it was time to change up the world of outdoor living once again, by creating our largest self-contained unit yet, whilst keeping the luxury, accessibility and charm of our smaller models - The Piccolo and Medio.
The Largest Glamping Pod
Entering through the 2x4m decked veranda sheltered by a mould-resistant canopy, you are greeted by the spacious living room, which is home to the lounge area and a conveniently designed kitchen. Like all of our pods, the Largo has a high-arched ceiling throughout, which helps to give a feel of openness while the 120mm thick insulation and underfloor heating create a perfectly cosy ambient temperature.
Sleeping up to 6, this model is comfortably equipped with two separate bedrooms, and there is space for a sofa-bed in the main living area. The master bedroom is located at the far end of the pod, and is large enough to accommodate a double bed and still provide enough space for wheelchair users to comfortably turn around in, and the second bedroom comes fitted with bunk beds. Situated between both of these bedrooms is the elegant wet room, which features our much loved click-in/click-out grab rails, a wheel-under sink and fold-out shower seat. This model includes all of our subtle accessibility features as standard, such as; level access throughout, spacious turning circles, reduced-height kitchen surfaces and a stylish wet room - Making it comfortable and functional for people with and without disabilities.
Bespoke Build
We like to offer flexible builds that work on a client-by-client basis, and this one was no different. Being designed for a private client for at-home use, it was of utmost importance that the layout worked for them, so they opted for the Largo build, with just a few adaptations. The first noticeable change is the side entrance, which is an option we offer on the Largo because of the large amount of internal space there is - Meaning that there is a lot of room to play with. In this case, it was decided that our alternative layout would work better for our clients, and side-entry would work better with the landscape of their garden, offering a seamless transition from outside to in.

Inside, you are first welcomed by the spacious open-plan kitchen/lounge that creates a sociable space in the heart of the pod. With each bedroom at either end of the unit it offers a degree of privacy whilst keeping that intimate feel. Our clients were keen to have separate toilet and shower facilities for each of the two bedrooms, so as well as our standard accessible wet room, we fitted an en-suite shower room with an enclosed shower cubicle.
Amongst the excitement and chaos of 2021, we are so proud to have completed our first Largo build. Providing a larger option to our clients offers even more opportunities for business and personal use, and we feel that the Largo will be a welcome addition to our portfolio of stylish and accessible living accommodation.
